Yesterday I visited Magic Mountain, first to be surprised that there wasn't a lot of people like I expected. There were line waits, but minimal in most cases. Probably the biggest suprise of the day was how hot it was out there, which attracted way too many guests to the water rides, creating long lines. This was not the case for other coasters, like Viper which had no wait. Oh, and I checked out the whereabouts of Thrill Shot, and even though there was no sign of work on the ride, it was unoperational.
On top of all of that, I was able to step into the new Studio 6F. Though advertised as a place to lounge with your friends, hear music, and drink coffee, it is really a small building, with about four to five chairs, which is not the lou nge we all considered before it opened. The coffee bar was small, and cramped into the corner of the room next to the chairs. Studio 6F is more of a store than a hangout in my opinion, as more than half of the building was a store. I did get a kick out of the Six Flags branded electric guitars though!
When I queued Ninja, there was no one but a few in front of us, so we had to wait a couple more minutes for them to finally get on, so we could ride. But when it was our turn, a group with blue wristbands got special privileges in our seats, before we got to ride. Luckily there was a second train. But unfornately, we were not able to board this train either, because the ride was having technical difficulties. So, the ride along with the rest of the guests who wanted to ride, had to wait for a park mechanic to get to the ride. He got there fairly quick, but we still had to wait because they were not using the second train anymore. So, we had to go on the first train with the group with the wirstbands. But, just as we were going to ride, the group got to ride a SECOND time in a row, which meant more waiting. It was a total of about 20 minutes before we got our long-waited ride on Ninja.
And finally, it was night time, and the crowds were thinning out. I got final rides on Batman The Ride, Scream! & Viper, which had no waits since most of the guests left. My ride on Batman was delayed because my neighboring rider, had an Over-The Shoulder hand bag, which caused an argument between her & the operators. She lost, and was asked to get off the ride. Nevertheless, it was still fun, and the trip was both interesting, and cool.
